Very quiet, very warm with wood stove.
One mouse in trap. Deer walking by, elk in the field, bald eagle flying up the river.
Good to get away from the internet and the news.
It was like a retreat to gain some peace

Clean, warm, quiet, almost full moon.
The previous renters had left some of the propane lights on. The area was fairly hot around those lights. Maybe not a concern, but thought worth mentioning.

There are too many tourists in the area, don’t bother coming. The tack on fees from this contractor (Booz-Allen?) are ridiculous. The USFS is wonderful, gov’t contractors aren’t. This cabin was once used by my wife’s great Uncle. Good -lace to ‘shroom. Hmmmm, did I mention too many people, and they improved the road in unfortunately.

Loved this cabin. Very comfortable and clean. We were able to raft to the cabin and keep the raft roped up on shore and then float from the cabin to Big Creek the next day. It is fun to walk to the Northern Lights Saloon for dinner and entertainment. Polebridge Merchantile is an outstanding bakery.

great location, updated flooring, furniture and bedding. Hate going to outhouse in the dark. No internet.

As always, Ben Rover is a wonderful experience. Two things need immediate attention. The oven does not stay on. And one of the single bed mattresses has a hole in it and is full of mouse turds. That is a serious health hazard, essentially making that room unusable.

Cabin was clean and information accurate. No surprises. Great location on the river with a large meadow right next door perfect for star gazing. Convenient to Park entrance and we had a great time cross country skiing up towards Kintla lake. Plan to come back, perhaps in a different season and hope to bring family or friends. The only challenge is the pot-hole riddled road to get there!

One word, fun fun fun. Oops that’s 3 words. Seriously, it was clean and comfortable and warm. What more could you ask for in February?
