About Ben Rover Cabin

Ben Rover Cabin is located 35 miles north of Columbia Falls, perched near the Wild and Scenic Flathead River. The rustic accommodations provide a delightful setting for photographing scenery, viewing wildlife and enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature. The cabin also provides access to a variety of activities, including hiking, fishing and boating the river. The cabin is generally accessible by vehicle, however, in winter, four-wheel drive vehicles with chains are strongly recommended. Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements and safety, and must bring several of their own amenities. The majority of the road from Columbia Falls to Ben Rover Cabin is gravel, so be prepared for dust during your drive and at the cabin.

One word, fun fun fun. Oops that’s 3 words. Seriously, it was clean and comfortable and warm. What more could you ask for in February?

Facility was low on many things.
- Bring extra of your own kitchen towels and washcloths, paper towels, some cleaning supplies.
Recommend bringing a sheet or something to put on the beds before you sleep on them.

There have been pack rats in the cabin. So make sure to keep all food in coolers and in cupboards, not out on the counters at night or when you leave the cabin.

The cabin was in good shape and stayed nice and warm in the January weather. Everything was in good working condition except the oven, which wouldn't stay lit. We skied to Bowman and to the Quartz Creek Campground, which was buried in snow but still a good long ski.

Ben Rover is a cozy get away with clean accommodations. Plan to pump your own water, navigate to the vaulted toilet in the dark, learn how to light the propane lantern lights and tou will enjoy this cabin.
