Great location and setting. Very rustic with no electric or modern services. We enjoyed that and the fact there was NO cell service.

A great location. Beware of mice in the cabin. This is a very wild area. A large black bear walked right alongside our cabin in broad daylight! Be bear aware!

Nice location. Previous renters left it nice and clean. Beware indoor mice. Beware creepy trespassers on the property who ignore signs - we had to park our car across the driveway to block them.

Great location on the river and within easy walking distance to Polebridge for pastries at the Merc and live music and food at the Northern Lights saloon. Furniture has been updated since photos were taken and was in good condition, though a picnic table outside would be appreciated. The cabin is fairly dark on the interior and really holds in heat so summer guests might want to bring lanterns and spare batteries instead of relying on the propane lights. Bug spray is also a wise investment. We brought mouse traps in case of visitors previous guests had mentioned, but saw no sign of them until the last morning when we found a few packages of crackers had been nibbled on. We appreciated how clean the previous guests left the place for us, and had a fantastic time. We'd definitely like to return!

Delightful and sweet cabin, wonderful view, easy bike ride for kids to Pole Bridge, and rides into the park. Cabin has nice supply of cooking “gear”.

Furniture very uncomfortable but we hung out outside mostly anyhow and used camp chairs we brought when inside. Chairs for kitchen folding chairs too low for table, living room cushions from 1950 and never replaced. Get some new cushions! Nice location, horrible road from Polebridge to cabin full of potholes and too rough for a low clearance car- get a road grader out there!
There was no lock on the door and we had to lock valuables in our car when we were out. There was not much firewood for indoors and there was a lock on the shed with firewood so could not access that, however we had brought our own wood for outdoors and used that.
There were plenty of pots and pans, paper towels and dish cloths which I didn't expect. Couldn't get oven to light but stove worked fine.
I would definitely rent again.
