Basin campground is our favorite of the surrounding area campgrounds…. It is well kept and so quiet and peaceful… temps always run about 10 degrees below Red Lodge temps and Love the afternoon mountain showers !

Great little spot. It is close to a road, but it is not heavily trafficked. The river was great and perfect for my dog and rock hounding. It was also some of the cleanest facilities I've ever seen at any campground (camping spot, vault toilets, fire pits, etc.). Plenty of shade provided by trees. The hosts were wonderful. I would stay again!

We enjoyed staying at Basin Campground. The Hosts were pleasant. The campground was clean. We stayed for three nights. Nice hiking trails near by.

An awesome campground! One of the best I've ever stayed in. Our site was right on the rushing river which added a peacefulness to the area. Sites are well spread out, shaded by big trees, and very flat. Bathrooms were clean and potable water available at pumps. Campground hosts were thoughtful and attentiveness but not intrusive. We had a great experience at Basin!!

General
- Standard Single Family sites: Recreation Use Fee allows ONE camping unit ONLY.
- Extra Vehicles: Cannot be paid for in advance - upon arrival coordinate with the host for payment and where to park.
- campers are not considered a "no-show" until 24 hours after arrival date check in time. Our policy is that your site will not be released before that.
- FIRST COME FIRST SERVE sites must be booked in person. DO NOT call to determine availability, as they are only available on-site.
- Bears frequent the area; please obey all food storage rules and regulations. Check with your host for details.
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org. Firewood bundles can be purchased from the camground host.
