We love this CG, have camped there many times. This was the the first time having to reserve a site there through Recreation.gov, and THAT part was a nightmare! When making the reservation, it was impossible to figure out which sites we had stayed in before, since the campground map is totally inaccurate and the pictures of the sites (juts the number posts in the SNOW!) are a joke! When we got there and realized that the site we had reserved for the last two days of our stay was not going to work for us, the campground host told us we could stay in the site we had for the first night, but to call Rec. gov to make the adjustment. THAT was a mistake!!! We were charged TWICE for the same site for the first night. Rather than "cancelling" the site we didn't want, they charged us AGAIN for that for two nights, plus an additional reservation fee just to change site numbers! VERY disappointed in Recreation.gov but the good news is the campground hosts were GREAT. My advice to anyone that either shows up at this campground without a reservation (signs say "reservation only") or has a site reserved that doesn't work for them - work it out with the hosts, DON'T go through Recreation.gov! The hosts there are very helpful and eager to make things work for people camping there, whether they have a site reserved or not.

Hosts were awesome, helping us pick a great campsite and engaging my young son in some friendly challenges. Grounds, camp sites, and facilities were super clean. Roadways around camping and day-use areas are smooth enough that we played some roller hockey.
