Campground was kept exceptionally clean and tidy. The restrooms are exceptional, well stocked, clean, and don't smell. The Host (Mike) is doing an outstanding job. We will be back to this location.

The campground was kept immaculate. Would highly recommend for anyone passing through, or for longer stays. Right on the East Fork of the Bitterroot and the fishing is good too!

Site #2 is beautiful! Plenty of room for our 2 tents. It's very close to the river so you can hear the water rushing over the rocks. You are camping under the pines so the found in pine needle covered ground rather than the green grass at some of the other sites. But it made for a very soft surface. And was shady most of the day.
Site is close to one of the very clean bathrooms.
Because of the layout of the sites it was full but didn't feel crowded.
The host was very helpful and friendly.
Limited to no cell service. But that's a good thing in my opinion.

Spring Gulch is a very nice well maintained campground, right along the river. Enjoyed our stay there.

Such a delightful little campground right by the Bitterroot River, and so well maintained! It's legitimately the first time I've described a pit toilet as "beautifully clean," and the camp host was very attentive. You will hear some noise from US-93, but not obnoxiously so. Highly recommend site #2!

This was by far the most pristine rec site we've ever stayed at. The camp host went above and beyond, welcoming us and non stop cleaning, offers of plenty of wood. The sites were immaculate, the lawns green and host site beautiful with flowers. All sites are paved and easily accessible. There is a platform over the river, the river is shallow enough to wade into, and deep enough in spots you could likely fish. The surrounding mountains are stunning and the whole place was quiet and peaceful. We will be back for longer next time.

We just returned from our stay at Spring Gulch and can't say enough how much we enjoyed the experience. I had made an error in our reservation that would have required us to move to another campground from one night and then back to Spring Gulch. The camp host, Mike, made arrangements for us to stay in our site even though the campground was full. We had our grandsons with us so not having to pack up and move for one night was much appreciated! The campground only has 10 sites so it is private, well kept and has beautiful scenery. We will definitely go back to Spring Gulch.

Great small Forest Service campground. We loved our time in this campground just south of Darby, MT. It had water available, the cleanest pit toilets we’ve seen in a long time, and great fishing right in the campground.

Very nicely maintained campground....little bit of road noise as it is close to HWY 93. I have stayed here many times and always enjoyed the campground. Host is great.
