Great camping spot going from Montana to Idaho. Just off the highway but the cars at night didn’t bug us.

We have stayed here many times over the years & have thoroughly enjoyed this delightful little campground till now. Unfortunately the host is bending the rules, overcrowding & allowing vehicles on lawn areas where they are not supposed to be. Space #5 is a grass area with a bicycle sign meant for a tent. There was a pickup truck, plus a pickup w/camper, three tents and a screen patio room in this small space. (I have a picture of this). #10 is also a lawn area meant for a tent. They put 2 vehicles, several tents, a tent trailer, patio cover & 12 people here. (What happened to 'social distancing'?) These people were either friends or relatives, as the host was partying with them. #1 had an unoccupied tent for 3 days blocking usage by anyone else needing a space. #9 was reserved for 4 days starting July 28th, but was unoccupied the 1st three days, also a waste of resources. A motorcyclist was allowed to tent in the host's firewood lot (this was generous.) A large 5th wheel was allowed to park in the entrance day use area, although I'm not sure they stayed overnite. Where is the $ going if these people are being charged for doubling up or occupying spaces that don't exist? Also, the restrooms absolutely stunk, probably because of the overcrowding.
Hate to see such a beautiful little campground destroyed.

Host does a great job keeping this place cut and clean! Right next to river, great fishing but not much wildlife.

Small and quiet. Very clean. It was a perfect place to stop and rest between Montana and Idaho.

This was a cute location alongside a small river. We walked the length of the short campground and enjoyed its beauty. The pull through site was nice and served our purposes for the quick overnight stay on our way to Glacier. The campground is right next to the highway, so there was some road noise, but the convenience of the location for us outweighed that concern. The individual sites offer some minimal privacy. We would definitely stay there again.

Loved the huge campsites, especially the ones right on the river. The host was friendly and helpful, and always working. We hiked up the Sula Peak Road to the fire lookout for a fantastic view!

Nice smaller campground on the river. Everything was very clean, and although close to the highway, it was quiet.

Spring Gulch is a small campground in a park-like setting. The camp host for the past two years have been instrumental in my five-star rating.
