What Guests Are Saying
Sloway Campground offers a clean and well-maintained environment, with friendly hosts providing free firewood and helpful amenities such as picnic tables and access to the nearby Clark Fork River. Campsites are spacious and well-separated, making it an ideal location for peaceful camping, especially during weekdays. The main drawbacks include noticeable noise from nearby trains and the interstate, which some guests found disruptive, but many still enjoyed their stay and would return.

Sloway was clean and well cared for. The camp host was courteous and helpful. Two sites could not be utilized because of a steep drop-off (Site #23) and difficulty getting into the site (#24). Both were able to find another site close to the rest of us. We were a party of 5 couples who had reservations for Sites 21, 22, 23, 24 & 25. We learned to "love" the sound of the passing trains!
I would highly recommend this campground.

My daughter and I stopped here for one night on our way home from a weeklong road trip. The hosts were very friendly and offered information and help if we needed it. The campsites were extremely large and very well secluded, which was a very pleasant surprise. The only downside that we could find to staying here is the train tracks on the opposite side of the river. There were several trains that passed through, and they all sounded their horns multiple times as they passed. Very loud! The freeway is also close by but that was not a problem for us in the site that we chose. The camp hosts also offered free firewood, which is unheard of anywhere else! I would rate this campground a 5 if not for the trains, everything else is great! If we are ever back in this area, we will definably stay here again.

Campground is great. Beautiful location next to the river and about 7 minutes from both St. Regis and Superior. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because the interstate is located very close to the campground and you can hear it. It’s not unbearable but is noticeable. As well as a a frequent railway nearby. Again not unbearable but noticeable. I’m overall a great place to stay if you are in the area.

Nice campground on the river, nice paved sites. Just wish there were flush toilets. Train came by a couple times with whistle, but didn’t bother us much.

We arrived late in the day when it was dark, so we didn’t really explore the campground. Trees are too close to the pull-through drives, trains go by blaring their horns all through the night, and the highway noise is pretty loud. We slept pretty terribly (if at all), and would not recommend this campground.
