What Guests Are Saying
Sloway Campground offers a clean and well-maintained environment, with friendly hosts providing free firewood and helpful amenities such as picnic tables and access to the nearby Clark Fork River. Campsites are spacious and well-separated, making it an ideal location for peaceful camping, especially during weekdays. The main drawbacks include noticeable noise from nearby trains and the interstate, which some guests found disruptive, but many still enjoyed their stay and would return.

Great for RVs. This is a very noisy campground. If sleeping in a tent, not recommended. A train goes by all night with horn blasting and the camp is next to a highway with traffic all night. The camp sites are very clean and lots of nice shade by a river with pretty mountain views.

This was a nice experience. Location is easily accessible and the campground is we’ll maintained by Don and Yvonne, the camp hosts. We were especially appreciative of the clean toilet facilities. There are certainly some minor downsides to the campground — primarily the traffic noise from I-90 which is very close by. The trucks traveling at night are noisy. After awhile it’s kind of becomes white noise. The trains across the river, which come through a couple times a day (and night) , are very loud, but I kind of like the nostalgic country feel to those. The campsites on the river are lovey and highly desired, but I like the sites a little away from the river…they are big and spaced out nicely. There are plenty of good camping spots here, so it’s easy to find a comfortable spot whether tenting or RVing. Being close to St Regis is really convenient for an ice run, grabbing extra food at the local grocery store, oran afternoon ice cream treat for the family. Not the best campground I have experienced, but a LONG way from the worst. The trade-offs make it tolerable when handling the traffic and train noise.

Nice campground on the Clark Fork river. Some space are a bit tight, but we did okay having a 28ft 5th wheel. Stayed in site #5 over looked the river.

Clean site and SUPER clean bathrooms! There was a volleyball court setup, horseshoe pit, and pole for tether ball available. Fishing would have been good if I thought to bring anything with me. Easy access to the river from the campsite or boat launch. Granted there is a train that goes by once in awhile but for the price, it isn't too bad of a deal.

Excellent hosts!!!!!! Don and Yvonne rock! Though I’d pay extra for railroad not to sound horn at crossings.

The campground was great! Great for kids to ride their bikes however the train noise was very loud! I was in a camper so I didn't hear it at night but my friends in a tent were awoken many times through the night!

They had the best spots along the River reserved for online only, yet “only” wasn’t written. So we set up, went and paid, then was told this. Had to go online and pay again! Not treated kindly, host was rude about the mistake. We were not pleased that we had to pay twice. Hwy was loud, trains were loud. Next day I called ranger station, left a message, they never called me back. $38 spent for a noisy spot, and spent a good portion of the time on my phone figuring out online reservations.

Great campground, lots of trees, no bugs in mid-August. Pretty quiet, except for the train. Bathrooms were clean, water was clearly marked. Camp hosts were very nice and helpful.
