Very comfy place combined with rustic charm. Wildlife refuge is a great place to cross country ski or hike.

Cabin was great. Previous guest left the cabin neat and cleaned. It is about a 5 minute drive to the Swan Lake day use area (fee required) in order to access the lake. The Guard station does not have access to the lake.

Charming log cabin in a great bird habitat. Was close to the highway but that traffic falls off in the evening. We enjoyed walking to the wildlife refuge and checking out the birds. Some nice lakes in the area to explore.

What a beautiful cabin. I loved the furnishing and to have electricity what a treat. I have stayed a several federal reserve cabins and this might be one of my favorites. It made a great base camp for exploring the area.

The cabin is so easy to get to, but still feels isolated and private. Every time I've been there, it has been clean and well-stocked. Thank you for the experience!

It's a beautiful facility, love the great kitchen range, wood stove and close to home location. Took a short walk to the wildlife viewing area right next door. Will definitely visit again.
