Site A12 is on a steep hill. Great for tents but a real challenge for any trailers or RV’s.

We loved our campsite A17, the host and hostess, made us feel very welcomed and also had a great since of humor. I wish we would have booked another night. Walked to lake McDonald for a swim, walked into the little town for dinner and shopping. Amazing views.

Loved this campground. All the sites are well shaded and it's just beautiful. Also nice to be within walking distance of the lake and shops, restaurant. Can't wait to come back!

It's a very large campground but sites are nice, the restrooms are clean, and the hosts are friendly. This site is about 10-15 feet lower than the loop road so it required driving down a slight hill to enter and up to exit the site, it was more private but something to keep in mind. It is a short walk to the village with many shops and restaurants. The picnic area is also beautiful, has easy lake access, and was not crowded when we were there. The amphitheater has an amazing view - highly recommend going to an evening ranger talk there.
Years ago when I was at Apgar your stay came with a pass to the Going-to-the-Sun Road but it does not now (so plan accordingly or go when a pass isn't required). Visitor center has WiFi and is worth a visit to help plan hikes, must sees, etc.

Helpful and professional rangers. Clean campsite. Beautiful lake.
It is great to have the rangers on site and be able to talk to humans when we arrive.
We see empty campsites and yet the reservations says the site is full. That could be improved.
