I solo camped here as a woman for the first time and felt super safe! Sites are spread far enough it's not packed but you don't feel isolated.

Great location and nice overall campground. My only critique is the bathrooms. The floors were perpetually wet (and not from the rain). There were also far too few showers for the number of sites, and they were so dirty that I avoided them. I wish the showers were more like Colter Bay in Grand Teton National Park.

In spite of some rain we really enjoyed our stay. Be advised that there are 2 shower stalls for all the campers at Apgar. There are lots of restrooms, which is helpful. I would recommend taking the tour bus for the Road to the Sun if you are scared of heights. It takes quite a long time to drive and we ended up turning back once we reached Logan Pass as it was already 5:30 pm. Beautiful scenery and no Grizzly Bear sightings.

Surprisingly large and private sites for a prime national park. Very pleasant and helpful campground hosts dropped by to check us in and provide information. Bathroom was relatively clean but needed some maintenance (some out of order in multiple rest rooms). Insufficient showers!

When we got to the camp site there was several people there setting up tents and there was no where for us to set up ours.
