Glacier is amazing. Highline trail and Grinelle glacier excellent hikes. We prefer the west side, less civilized if you will. My biggest complaint is that you do not account for cancellations. Love the first come, first served at St Mary’s. Apgar showed fully booked but there were multiple open sites each night we were there. Very frustrating, especially when you are forced to make reservations online but there is no service. Is there some way to update site to reveal cancellations?

This was the first time dry camping and as the website said, most of the bathrooms and water were shut off for the season. The APGAR tourist center was there and potable water was available, which made the trip good. Due to low traffic of tourist we were able to enjoy our time at APGAR going to and from the park. Going to the sun road was right outside the camp grounds which made early morning hikes very nice as it was a straight shot up. I would recommend staying here.

The light from the bathroom shines right onto this site. Far too bright to make sitting around the campfire enjoyable, and bright enough to shine through the walls of our tent. By no means terrible, but I'd pick a different site if one were available.

Very nice campground with hood size areas. Warning, if going after September everything is closed including water. That wasn’t clear on my reservation until I checked into the park and was told everything was locked up and the taps were off.
