Apgar was a great location within Glacier National Park. The road to get to the campground is off Going to the Sun Road which is right by the timed entrance area. We were able to drive to the Apgar lookout trailhead and back without needing a timed entrance. Apgar village has a gift shop, restaurant, and bike, kayak, and paddle board rentals. Lake McDonald lodge is a short drive. The rangers were helpful. We are tent campers and tend to be minimalists but feel more showers would be good (there are only 3 showers for the entire campground). We went whitewater rafting and the company was located 4 miles away from the campground.
