The Apgar campground was very nice, thank you. I do, however, have some comments:
1) When I arrived on my bike to the campground there was no posted sign indicating which loop (A-E) and spot number contained the site for hiker-bikers. I just happened to spot a campground employee who told me that Loop A-10 was the designated hiker-biker site. I was lucky that this employee was present. Had he not, I'm not sure what I would have done. The hiker-biker site should be posted on the arrival board just in case no one is around to inform a biker.
2) The hiker-biker spot only contains three areas to setup a tent. As large as A-10 is there should be more spots added to increase the amount of biker spots. When i arrived at A-10 there was only two additional spots open. Three total spots seem to be not enough given how large Site A-10 is, especially since there is more room to add more tent spots.
3) It would be helpful to have a map added to the entry board indicating that there is an asphalt trail leading from the campground to Apgar Village as well as the Apgar Visitor center. I did not know this trail existed when I arrived at the campground so I took the more dangerous road to the village.
In any case, the campground was nice. Thanks for having Site A-10 designated as a hiker-biker site!

Apgar Campground is in a great location, with clean sites (we stayed in two) and fair pricing. Unfortunately, the experience was soured by poor management and rude staff.
There aren’t enough amenities, very few showers, and limited grey water disposal for the number of sites, yet they’re quick to ticket people. One staff member gave me the third degree over my self-contained external shower, even after I explained it was used and disposed of properly.
I also accidentally overstayed due to a mix-up on my end (I had the dates wrong in my head). That morning, the staff checked my reservation while questioning me about the shower. I told them I had the site another night, and they didn’t correct me. Later, they claimed they’d “been trying to find me all day” but made no effort to contact me in any way. When I asked if any sites were available, they just told me to check online, despite no cell service, and failed to mention the visitor center has Wi-Fi. Without Starlink, I would have been stuck.
Nice spot, but the lack of support and accusatory staff made it more stressful than it needed to be.

We stayed in loop D, site 177. Our site was very nice for tent camping. We had two flat spots for tents and a pull through parking spot.
