Excellent campground. Pine trees are tall and majestic like in fairytale. Proximity to lake, shops and services are also great. Highly recommended

Park was very well maintained and staffed with enthusiastic, helpful and knowledgeable rangers. The campground is beautiful and in a great location. DO NOT MISS SUNRISE ON LAKE MCDONALD. Compared to Parks Canada, amenities/services limited. I traveled directly from a Parks Canada campground at Radium Hot Springs to Glacier NP. Parks Canada offered bath houses with flush toilets and hot showers, kitchen wash stations and shelters, and a fire permit system that provides unlimited onsite firewood for $11/day. None of this was available at Apgar. Dail

I really love this campground! My second time camping here in October and the other campers are always friendly. Only knocking off a star because they only have two or three bear lockers by the bathroom and I’d prefer each site had one, also since it’s primitive camping only the pit toilet is open and it got kind of gross and filled with bugs while I was there.
