Great campground, easily accessible and very pretty but vault toilet didn’t have any toilet paper

I always love staying at Apgar Campground. This trip was a bit disappointing however because all night long I kept getting awaken by a train whistle 😞

Wonderful visit to Glacier in late October. The campground was partially closed, but every spot was filled. It was quiet and we enjoyed walking to the visitor center to get information and use the restrooms.

Visited first week of Oct. Lots of busy workers shutting down and winterizing things (i.e. fire hydrants near campsite were opened up to drain at 5 am! Yikes). Park was busier than expected, but beautiful. Definitely would not have wanted to be there with the crowds. Everything was supposed to be closed, however Apgar visitor center and Apgar village were still open with provisions (TP and firewood and water, etc.) Campgrounds were at primitive status, no running water, with just pit toilets. All bathrooms at Apgar were out of toilet paper! BYOTP! Nicer campgrounds that at other national parks, more private and wooded. Very nice!
