What Guests Are Saying
Avalanche Campground is a well-maintained, clean campground with excellent access to popular hiking trails, including Avalanche Lake and the Trail of the Cedars. While some sites lack privacy and amenities like hot showers, the beautiful surroundings and convenient location make it a recommended choice for campers. Visitors appreciate the friendly camp hosts and the serene atmosphere, despite some minor issues with restroom cleanliness and noise.

Avalanche campground was a great experience. Its location within the park was really nice. This site was flat, had plenty of room for 2 tents, close to a bear box and the bathrooms. It may be helpful to know this campground does not have showers.

Place was great. Easy access to the bathroom and to the trails that we were interested in hiking. Was not a vault toilet, it was an actual flushing toilet with running water in the sinks which was great!

This was a great campground that we stayed at for two nights. We really liked that we could walk from our campsite to the Nature Trail, and Avalanche Lake Trail. Both weee amazing. The restrooms were very clean. It was very quiet at night. I’d stay there again for sure.

Loop B has better visibility as there are less bushes and brush, loop
A is still great, just more bushes. There is no electricity in the bathrooms.

Avalanche Campground is very well situated within the middle of Glacier park. Clean nice bathrooms. Sites were nicely organized under the canopy of the trees. Only negative would be the crammed parking areas close to the entrance into the camping area. Avalanche Lake trail starts at the campground. As a reserved camper, driving in and out of the entrance could be a bit of a struggle.
