This campground is great for access to Going to the Sun Road and to the Two Medicine and Many Glacier area. The campground could use additional shower facilities

I was able to get a tent spot the day of. I loved the service of the rangers and how thorough they are with everyone following the rules of the campground. It was nice to stay on the St Mary side of Glacier and be able to wake up to hikes close by. The coyotes kept me up all night though. Lol

I was only at this CG for 2 days, so my experience is limited. That said, St Mary CG was more than adequate for my purposes. The restrooms were particularly clean. The campsite itself was okay, but nothing great. I was just happy to get it after my reservation was canceled by Recreation.gov because my original site had been flooded out. It would, however, have been nice if my reservation had been transferred to the new site automatically. As it was, I had to drive 350 miles an hope that the CG still had a First Come/First Serve campsite. In short, I was very fortunate to get this site at the last minute
