Great campground inside the park at the last of the season. Most of the park was shut down. We stayed on loop C. Not much space in the sites for large rigs.

Beautiful place to stay! Great entry into the park. It would have been helpful to know that the water would be turned off but, otherwise very enjoyable

Campsite is in a good location. Spacious sites but not all really that flat. Only C loop was open when we went and are all pull through sites, kind of at weird angles, some had trees in between the sites and the camp road. We didnβt realise when we booked (nor did it say) that the flush toilets were not open. This left the whole campsite to use one pit toilet at the other end of the campsite. Views of the mountains were amazing though!

Campground was in primitive status but there was an easily accessible pit toilet. Campground was clean and easy to navigate.

The campground offered some privacy between camp sites and while it wasnβt noted, the restrooms and showers were closed when we arrived. There was one vault / pit toilet to use for the whole campground, but it was clean and well maintained. There were also multiple dumpters which was helpful given we were in bear country. We thankfully didnβt see any! If we had to stay in Glacier again, we would stay at St. Maryβs Campgrounds.

Nice enough spot. Close to the visitor center, and walking distance to other things in the tiny village of Saint Mary. My only gripe would be that the water was shut off in the campground in the middle of September. Why not wait until the end of September when the park is closed? So no access to the nicer bathrooms, just the vault toilet. Had to get water for the site from the visitor center nearby. Just rather inconvenient, when the rest of the park was open.

Good campground and great base to explore the east side of the park. Campground was very clean. Enjoyed the ranger programs. Be prepared that the showers may be very cold, depending on the time of day.

I stayed again for seven nights and have stayed many times before. Itβs a good base for when I am doing certain hikes on the GTTSR or when the weather gets worse for a bit in the area compared to other camps. Cell service is pretty good for those times. I have had bears in the campground, even at my site, eating berries so you have to watch for those. This fall, it might have been the biggest concentration of remaining berries in the park so I was expecting bears at all times. Toilet situation is not ideal late in season. Busier than original plans intended. I think the only reason they only keep loop C open after water and the others are closed is that this is the loop with a pit toilet and the others do not have that. Wish they would install a pit toilet in another loop or two and be able to keep more spots open.
