The campground works for a short-term place to park and sleep while exploring the park, but the facilities are in terrible disrepair and the general campground offers little other than proximity to the national park.

Early June was a great time to see the park with smaller crowds but the Going to the Sun Road was still closed because of the snow pack. The campground experience was wonderful. I developed a bad valve stem in one of the tires on our Airstream but the attendant at the campground booth told me about Lube and Tube in Browning as well as the shortcut to get there. The tire was fixed in just a few minutes and we were back in business for the rest of our trip which tallied 5400 miles. We would love to return again and stay longer than the two days we were able to snag reservations for on our trip. It is a hiker's NP for sure.

Larger, grass, flat site surrounded by trees and tall plants. Good site for larger tent. No place to tie a rope for hanging towels and no trees for hammocks.

We love the National parks, and Glacier is as extraordinary as the best of them.
The site for our 20 foot trailer was spacious but the slope up into the space where the table was was tough for me, I had hurt my leg badly. It was difficult to lay a rug out because of this. However, the bathrooms are clean and seemed new and very well spaced in the park. Plenty of water spigots and a good dump station. Loved the ranger programs. Through no fault, obviously, of the park, there were large forest fires in the area and the smoke was horrible, we did get one not too hazy day for road to the sun, but by the 5th day of 6 Reserved, the smoke was so thick we decided to leave.

We loved this campground and its proximity to the Visitor Center and Going to the Sun Road. Our site was the perfect mix of shade and sun, good for the solar panels, and the view of One Shot mountain was spectacular. The showers were greatly appreciated and we throughly enjoyed the evening interpretive programs. We were in C loop. Glacier is so magnificent and this campground made our stay perfect. Thank you to all for the hard work of caring for this precious resource.

Our site was wide enough to pull our large RV into. I also loved the availability of the showers.
