Clean, quiet campground paved to level gravel sites. Rangers and hosts were friendly and helpful and working hard to keep the park clean and safe. Beautiful views of the lake from almost every site.

We love this campground. The site is beautiful. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the issue we had checking in. I went to the camp host office and residence and no one was around. So we found a site that was not reserved on your website, reserved it and pulled in to set up. The sign in sheet at the site said it was reserved, yet your website showed it as available. The camp host found us (I thought she was going to ask us to leave) and asked if we reserved the site, and asked for a receipt. Luckily I took a screen shot of the reservation. Going on Recreation.gov there were many sites that were available online yet driving through the campground many of them had reservation names and dates written on the signs. Not sure if it is a system glitch or someone saving sites without a paying.

Holter Lake Campground Rangers and hosts were very friendly and helpful. Sites are clean, wide and level with great views of the lake. We will definitely stay at this very quiet campground again.

Campground was clean and well maintained. Toilets were cleaned daily. Boat ramps were clean and in good condition. The campground hoists are doing a great job caring for this property.

Holter Lake CC is a nice campground. Lots of fishing, boating and personal watercraft activity. There is a designated swimming area that is nice. There is a small convenience store in Wolf Creek that has most necessities if you forget something.
Site 24 we had a 28' trailer, tent, 3 cars, 7 people and 3 dogs. It was a tight fit bet we enjoyed it. Camp hosts were marvelous, bathrooms were clean and for the most part the campground was quiet. Only thing that keeps this from a 5 star is that the site had a good deal of height difference from side to side that required major blocking to level the trailer. Other than than a great place. Lots of potable water spigots available.

Please be prepared to store your food either in your locked vehicle, RV, trailer, or bear-proof container while camping. |

Prairie rattlesnakes and bull snakes inhabit this area. Be cautious of where you step or reach. |

Please watch for ticks and black widow spiders. Both are very common in the area. Black widow bites, while not usually deadly, can be extremely painful and have caused local necrosis of the associated tissues and severe illness. |
