What Guests Are Saying
Silver Valley Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained location, ideal for families and offering a peaceful atmosphere, with clean bathrooms and friendly camp hosts. The proximity to the lake and nearby hiking trails enhances the overall experience, making it a favorite spot for many campers. However, some sites, particularly site 20, may have uneven ground and overgrowth, which can be a drawback for certain campers.

The campground had unfortunately undergone a big tree cutting the week before we arrived, so several of the sites have very little shade and some deep divots from the construction trucks. We originally reserved site #8, but when we decided to change to something better. We also happened to booked during the Southern Cal tropical storm so it rained both days (in August) so we only stayed one night.

This is my favor Lake Alpine campground. Itβs fairly small and quiet. Interior sites seem a bit bigger than exterior sites - choose carefully if you have a trailer (site 13 is great). Angel is an excellent host. Only negative is the vault toilets which are stinky but clean. We brought a toilet tent & potty which saved the day (highly recommended!). Showers at Lake Alpine Resort were slightly rundown but ok and somewhat pricy at $3.25 for 5 minutes.

Beautiful campground, so peaceful and clean. The host Angel was amazing, very helpful and friendly. My car battery ending up dying and he went above and beyond to help me get it started twice. He definitely takes pride in his campground and wants to ensure you enjoy your time there. This is my second time there and have had a positive experience both times.

Our camp host Angel was awesome. He was super helpful with everything we needed. Campsites and toilets were the cleanest I've seen in a long time. We had a great stay and can't wait to go back.

Had a fantastic time at Lake Alpine, Silver Valley Campground. The campground was clean and the camp host, Angel, was the best camp host we have ever had there. We have been camping there for over 25 yrs. Angel was so helpful to giving advise to the area and even helped someone start their car with jumper cables. Definitely will continue to go back here for our annual camping trip.

Itβs a frequently visited campsite and thus expect company. Good on services and excellent access to the lake; a really comfortable hike to duck lake beyond the range to the south-east

This a very nice campground but not right on the lake. Some sights are very tight for more than one vehicle such as a trailer and not very flat. Some sights are close together. Good for nearby fishing and water plat.

Nothing to complain about, no possibility of shower.

Never have issues at this campground. Different spot than we've had before, more in the middle rather than on the forrest edge, but had no issues. Some noisey campers but not over the top. We will be coming back to the campground as often as we can.

This high alpine campground is very old, and was not designed and built with modern RVs in mind. It contains narrow roads, tight turns, and many, many inconvenient boulders and trees. RVs are allowed in every site if they fit, but this campground is a far cry from an RV park. The only surefire way to know if you can comfortably fit your RV in a specific site is to take an exploratory trip to scout it out for yourself. |
