One of the best campgrounds we have stayed in. Stayed during Labor Day weekend with no problems. Can’t express enough that the hosts are awesome and kept the site clean including restrooms with regular trash pick ups as well.
Site 6 has plenty of shade for tents but you may need canopy for midday heat at the site table.

Our campsite (#4) was well away from the other sites. Most of the other sites were too close together. The camp host was very nice.

My husband and I camped at Rio de Los Vacas for 4 nights. It is a beautiful woody (tall pines) area that is very scenic. The Vault toilets were clean and the host also keeps the campsites clean (fireplaces and sites). The host is very friendly and checks on folks daily.
The hiking trails are not well marked but were lots of fun to explore. There is a (drinking water) water pump at the campgrounds. This is a small campground but clean and nice. There are plenty of fallen trees in the woods for firewood if burning is allowed. Each site has a fire ring with a grill in it.
There is no mobile service or phone service in this area. My service is Verizon and we did not have any service nor did anyone we spoke to at the site.
