Beautiful, quiet and peaceful campground close to finishing, hiking and climbing. It got a little cold overnight but that's part of the game. Will definitely stay again

Campground location is an excellent base from which to explore local trails and sites. Great campground - very well set-back from the road. Sites well-spaced - although full, the campground was not extremely noisy even on Memorial Day weekends. Toilets clean & very friendly camp hosts. Loved site #23 for camping in our 19' campervan - flat and various options to park in or out of sun; reasonable walk to/from toilets.

Beautiful forest. Campground was very quiet, considerate campers near us. Toilets were disgusting and not being cleaned, never seen toilets this dirty in a campground. Fire rings were not shoveled out. Had these items been taken care of, 5 stars.

The only issue we ran into is the fire rings are not cleaned out after each camper leaves. The host told me shovels have not been provided by the Forest Service. Another issue some in our group ran into is the gate is locked after 10 pm till the next morning. One of the campers ran into a medical emergency in the evening and needed the code. I was told the code was emailed to everyone and the camper had phone and Internet access. I was not able to access the Internet or the phone. Overall I enjoyed staying at the campground.

From Alburquerque: Take Interstate 25 north for 12 miles; exit onto NM State Highway 550 northwest for approximately 20 miles then exit onto NM Highway 4. The campground is accessed off NM Highway 4, approximately 15 miles northeast of Jemez Springs.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
