There were MANY, MANY hikers that made themselves at home on our tables when we were present in the pavilion. MANY, MANY bikers that just drove right by us when we were in the camp area. I realize this has become a societal issue but two families brought pack lunches and sat down at tables just outside the pavilion. Hikers just make their way through the camp area all the time. The multiple trails have contributed to this intrusion. This visit was not enjoyable because of the multiple, daily intrusion. Unfortunately, I do not have a solution for their rudeness.

We were recently in group site 3 for a family reunion and plan to come back next year. The pavilion was spacious and had working lights and electrical outlet. There is a fresh water pump by the pavilion with potable water. There are plenty of parking spaces for campers (although some were not level) and tons of great spots to pitch tents. There were ample picnic tables and the fire pit area was really nice. There were 2 pit toilets that were very clean and nice.
There is a private entrance and you can keep the gate closed for privacy.
There was so much shade and many paths nearby for hiking or bike riding. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our Employee Appreciation B-B-Q. Everyone loved our forest & some are even interested in coming back to camp. Thank you for all your help in making our event memorable! Sincerely, Diana at Shuttle Ruidoso.

Group 1 pavilion has a leaky roof. It rained one entire day we were at Group camp 1 and could not stay in the pavilion as it was flooded and tables were wet.
