What Guests Are Saying

Black Canyon Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and beautiful surroundings, making it a favored spot for campers. The spacious sites, friendly camp hosts, and proximity to hiking trails and Santa Fe enhance the overall experience. However, the lack of water has been a consistent issue, and some visitors have reported problems with caterpillar infestations and site accessibility.

Beautiful campground nestled in a pine grove. Water would have been nice but still very lovely.

One of the nicest, cleanest, well-maintained National Forest campgrounds we have used. Kudos to the hosts! A little misunderstanding about not occupying our site the first night but the host handled it without confrontation & we truly appreciated her understanding. We loved the area & so much cooler than Santa Fe.

We just stayed for one night as we were en route to Grand Canyon. We got in after dark and left fairly early the following morning, so we don't have much to say about our experience, but the campground had a nice layout, clean facilities, and it was fairly quiet. We noticed that the camp host started up his/her/their generator before quiet hours were technically over. We were already up, but the generator was quite loud and we felt bad for the campers immediately next to the host's campsite.

Very nice campsite 7 miles from downtown Santa Fe. Great hiking trail adjacent. Generally very quiet and well laid-out with a good variety of sites for RVs and tent camping.

Beautiful area! Spaces are spread out a bit, you don't feel like your neighbors are touching you. Green trees, levelish sites@.
