First time ever being at deep creek after 5 years not having a camp host. Sadly this opened the door for ppl to break the rules with no one controlling it. Many nights with ppl drunken screaming intentionally keeping ppl awake daring anyone to shut them up. I felt bad for those with children next to the camps doing it with all the vulgar language. Some ppl even left early I’m certain it was because of the disrespect going on. One of the worst time there. I hope this is not going to be a continued thing every year otherwise we will have to give up our favorite destination camp to go elsewhere.

Bathrooms very clean, campsites with plenty of shade, tent pads level. Quick half mile walk from our site to the general store. Staff was helpful, trails were beautiful, Creek was fun! (And drinking water was tasty!)

Great campsite by the creek. Clean bathrooms. Wish there was a fountain for potable water.

In spite of the campgrounds being filled to the brim on our first of 2 nights of tent camping, and some of the other campers being loud beyond 10pm, and the sites being a bit small, this ultimately proved to be one of our best-ever camping experiences. Proximity to the rushing sounds of Deep Creek helped drown out other sounds and lull us to sleep. The other campers were largely quiet and friendly. The nearby hiking/running/bike trails were plentiful, as were the many great views, including several waterfalls.

Though the sites are a little close together, we had nice neighbors and the creek access for the kids was perfect. We will be back next year!

I camp here yearly, always beautiful. Rangers are friendly, campground is kept, bathrooms clean and just a beautiful family campground. There are trails, Bryson City nearby and don't forget TUBING THE CREEK!!! NOA is just a short drive. Don't miss out on a great family vacation spot!

We took our toddler on her first camping trip. We booked a site up away from Deep Creek to avoid her being near the water, but the whole campground was much bigger than I anticipated. We had a great private area, which was great, but if I were to book again, I'd opt to be closer to the hiking trails. The site was nice, ample spacing, picnic table and fire pit - plenty of room for my small family. The bathrooms we used were clean and had TP, which was great. My husband used the wash area to wash our dishes - a nice amenity to have. We are backpackers so car-camping is new to me, but we had a great time. I'm excited to explore more of GSMNP and try other sites, though I think we will definitely be back to Deep Creek at some point. The hiking trails nearby were GREAT! My toddler loved the waterfalls and playing in the safe, shallow parts of Deep Creek.

We did not like the way the tenting area was set up. The parking was all by the road and with the numerous campsites within the park we had people from farther in walking through our campsite to get to their vehicle or to the road. This type of camping is not for us as we like our privacy in out campsite.
