What Guests Are Saying
The Deep Creek Picnic Pavilion is a great venue for group gatherings, providing ample space, clean facilities, and convenient amenities like a fireplace and charcoal grills. While parking can be challenging, especially for larger groups, most guests enjoyed their overall experience and appreciated the easy reservation process. A suggestion for improvement includes addressing water drainage issues around the pavilion to enhance comfort during rainy conditions.

The pavilion accompanied our group of about 25 well. Parking was not a problem, however there was confusion because something in the description had mentioned reserved spaces. They do, however, require the $5 parking passes which are available at a kiosk in the adjacent picnic area. Quite a few other park guests came to the pavilion searching for the passes and a restroom. I suggest taking bag chairs for comfort.
One thing that might use attention is how the rain flowed down from the grassy area above the pavilion floor and encroached on a very large area causing us to have to relocate to the other end. Possibly a small ditch along the edge of the concrete is needed to divert water. Conveniently, a very large broom was standing near the fireplace and was put to very good use for a while.
Despite the rain and water coming in, we thoroughly enjoyed gathering at the pavilion, and it was a convenient location for the tubers in our group as they exited the creek at the bridge and rested before they went back up for another wonderful float down Deep Creek.
Making reservations was easy.

Great experience at the Pavilion! Enjoyed having adjacent bathrooms. Charcoal grills worked great. There are no trash containers in the Pavilion so bring your own trash bags. Also, parking is a challenge. Many guests were cited for parking violations because there weren’t enough parking spots.

All you need this place has it for your picnic needs, private bathrooms with le only to your guests.. only issue is parking if you are a large group where they ask for parking permits which I am unsure why just email so we can come printed.. for sure groups coming here will come with many carsss other than parking which is still free for around 12 cars.. all is good

I was very unhappy about the parking. There was absolutely no parking anywhere… I had to circle the park literally four times before making a spot in the grass. And then I had to carry all of my stuff up to the pavilion. It was very hot, but I know that that is not controlled and it's how it is… But I was very unhappy about the Parking. And all of my guests that were coming… Had the same problem. I feel like people that paid for the pavilion… Should have parking available. other than this, it was a good experience. But this was a pretty major issue for me…
