First time camping in the park and this spot was awesome! We were able to avoid the crowds, even though we were there for the peak of fall color. The waterfall loop trailhead is close by and was a beautiful hike. Also worth noting, the bathrooms were immaculate. Cleanest I've come across by far with running water, soap, and mirror.
Only complaint was some loud campers who did not observe quiet hours, but otherwise, a pretty amazing experience!

The Deep Creek campground is in such a beautiful area. The creek runs parallel to the camp which has clean bathrooms and an outdoor sink for washing dishes. We were there for fall colors and hiked the Deep Creek Loop, taking side trips to the waterfalls. 5 miles total. Trail is wide at first, 4-5 people wide, but narrows as you leave the popular waterfalls area. Expect hills. Another great hike is the Lonesome Pine overlook. 7 miles out and back, uphill there, downhill back, 1-2 person wide. Thank you National Park Services for this great escape right in my backyard.

Quiet campground near the creek. Pad, picnic table and fire ring were in good condition. The nearby restroom included a dishwashing station which was helpful for cleanup.

Really nice site, and it was beautiful timing with the fall colors. The staff at the campground entrance were very friendly and helpful.
Be aware that there is a bit of dust at the Group Campsite due to its proximity to a dirt road, but that does not affect the rest of the campground.
