When I was picking out campsites it's very confusing on the map. Which site is which? That's the only problem. When I got there. The sites I picked were kind of far apart and we had another family in between us... Other than that they can't cite and grounds are very beautiful and very fun to be at.

This campground was a madhouse on a busy summer weekend, and we were right in the middle of it in the tent area. When I saw our spot, I immediately felt anxious because the spots are very close together. However, all the campers behaved well all weekend, and we ended up having a good experience. Deep Creek is right there, and we spent the weekend on tubes in the water. We brought our own tubes but they can be rented for a small price right outside the campground.

Love the campground. Bathrooms always clean but we did have the bathroom without lights the whole time at night. Something was wrong with the timer I believe. Ranger did try to fix but nothing worked. Otherwise great time.

We love camping at Deep Creek Campground. It’s a beautiful and peaceful area. Tubing in the creek provides lots of activity. The raised sites help when it rains. Parking is close enough to make loading and unloading easy. Having bathrooms available is a plus. It’s a great getaway with conveniences just down the road which makes it the best of both worlds. We did have to clean out our fire bowl before we could use it because it was left a mess, but everything was really great!

As another reviewer mentioned, site 58 can be a challenge for a trailer. I only have a 12' single axle, and I had to ask the gentleman across the way to move his truck so that I could get backed in. It is also very steep so make sure you have good chocks! I was able to get the trailer level enough by stacking some blocks under the tongue jack. The nice thing about the upper loop is that the back of the site is forest, and a perfect place to hang a hammock. It's a bit of a walk to the bathrooms (which were clean). Had a great time tubing the creek.

The campground was mostly quiet. The recent rains made Deep Creek and surrounding waters beautiful to see. The rangers were very nice and helpful. The hiking in the area was enjoyable. Having a cell signal (AT&T) at the campsite was helpful for communication with friends and family. The wifi at the kiosk, though a little slow, was sufficient for our needs. The only downside to the campground was the bad odor in the comfort stations (with the exception of the picnic are). The bathrooms were cleaned regularly, but retained the smell of BO throughout our 10 night stay. This will not keep us from returning.
