The camp is extremely well maintained by active and hardworking hosts. The sites were raked and level. The hosts were doing brush cleaning up and giving small piles of kindling to the sites. It was a clean lovely experience in a gorgeous location.

No cell service at the campground and very spotty reception along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Make sure you follow the directions given by the campground - my GPS took me to their closed off entrance and I had to drive another 40 minutes around to the actual entrance. Nice facilities and many campsites were higher than the parking area, having stairs to get up to the pad. Level gravel pad for tent set up, nice fire ring and cooking grate, a pole to hang a lantern or trash bag on. The camp host had firewood and kindling for sale! Had very friendly camp neighbors. Would definitely camp here again!

The staff was friendly and great! A couple things that would have made the experience better for my family is a wash station for cleaning dishes, quite hours posted...maybe 10pm to 6am and have cars use their parking lights to navigate through the property at night. The bright light shinning in our tent as cars passed made it hard to sleep. Over all it was in a good location and there was lots to do. I appreciate the staff as they have a lot to do and people to contend with including lots of hikers coming through.

You can't go wrong camping here. It is a great campground. I gave low rating bc i did experience frustration. As I set up my tent *I was alone and looked forward to some piece. A family pulled in next to me. Across from host site. I was concerned when they had 4 cars 4 tents 3 dogs and 8 people. I politely informed host I was concerned and the host spoke to them. My understanding was ea site was only supposed to have 2 tents 2 cars , dog must be on leash. Well dogs remained on leash but they barked all night. The family went into their 4 cars until at least midnight ea time double clicking their key fobs so that the vehicle would honk. They had a good time laughing which I actually am glad they had a good time. I was unable to sleep ,next morn I spoke to host about this. The host stated they did not hear any of it. I had the option to relocate but I felt that the party which exceeded the maximum allowances should be the ones to relocate not me. I ended up leaving after one day instead of staying 3. I did not want to chance listening to the kennel another night. I love dogs but sometimes dog owners use bad judgement and don't realize nit everyone loves their dogs. So yes i was a little frustrated. I do plan to return the camp ground is awesome the trails topnotch

The people tat run this place need education. There were no clear instructions and the rules seem to be different for their friends. We were asked to leave for a violation involving leaving out a cooler but there were trash bags hanging pumpkins left out as decorations in multiple sites and the night before one of their friends told them right in front of me even though it was full she needed more nights we were tossed the next day no warning the written violation said second time
