About Mount Pisgah Campground

One of the most popular of the Parkway's campgrounds, Mount Pisgah Campground is perched in the rolling mountains of western North Carolina on the southernmost end of the famous Blue Ridge Parkway. Surrounded by dense hardwood forests at an elevation of 4980 feet, it offers shady, cool respite from the summer heat. Whichever end of the day appeals, spectacular sunrise and sunset panoramic views can be enjoyed from nearby overlooks. Several popular hiking trails, ranging from moderate to strenuous, are accessible from the campground. Drenched in history, this area was once part of the holdings of George Vanderbilt and the site of his hunting camp house, Buck Springs (no longer standing), is close by.

We had a wonderful experience at Mount Pisgah campground! Private large sites with a nice picnic table snd fire ring. We bought supplies for a fire and s’mores and it was very reasonable. The bathrooms were very clean and nice! We will go back!

Fantastic camping trip for October. The sites were mostly private and was surprised when we got there how many sites were FCFS. All sites were short, so beware. Staff was great and maintenance was exceptional. The bath and restroom in loop "B" was the nicest, cleanest I had ever seen in a national park. I parked with solar and the spot was fantastic and I won't mention the site because I want it again!

Beautiful campground and fairly large. Sites are well spread out and/or separated by trees allowing for fairly good privacy. It is a bit hilly, so walking and/or bike riding may be difficult for some.

I stayed in A Loop and the sites were too close together exposed to the road..no privacy..A-22..also hate the loss of the camp laundry area in the camp store. And the Dining room has become disrespectful of campers. No dinner reservations...no take out meals..only ready made sandwiches. I realize campers do fix their own food but my picnic table was a foot from the road with no trees.

Great site, beautifully maintained grounds, and wonderful ranger presence. The bathrooms and showers were nice and a great place to warm up in cold temperatures. Sites are closer together than I though but placed well to offer as much privacy as possible. We will most definitely be back!
