RV sites aren’t all flat and the slope of ours for a class B can was beyond the ability to level up. The campground is nice and the location is great. I’ll go back

Great campground. Most sites were thoughtfully laid out to maximize privacy. The bear boxes were great to have (although, we discovered the mouse-size holes the hard way LOL). The staff was professional and friendly. Great stay ... we'll be back!

Lovely campground with all the amenities you need for a relaxing getaway in the mountains. Unfortunately, our neighbors at D31 were quite rude, broke the rules and invited 12+ people to their campsite, so we didn’t get a moment of quiet during our stay. Only wish it was easier to get in contact with rangers at the site to report violations. Couldn’t find anyone by the time we were fed up in the afternoon.

Mount Pisgah is a very pretty, clean and well run camp ground. We slept in the the tent only area,which is very quiet. The park rangers at the entrance are very helpful.

Pisgah campground is a delight. The sites are private and tidy. The campground gives you the unique opportunity to spend your time in the high altitude spruce forest. Having a shower in the campground is very helpful. The shower was clean and never crowded.

This is quite possibly my favorite campground in western NC. The tent sites are clean and in order and the staff has always been helpful and informative. Because of the elevation, it is always a welcome escape from the low country of SC in the summer.

One of my favorite campgrounds because of the elevation and the location. Oh yeah and it's near highway 276 to access brevard and waynsville, on the motorcycle.
Although I got no cell service at all, I did pick up about fifteen television stations on my digital antenna...

Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Mr Pisgah is gorgeous. The price is very affordable. Campground was at capacity. Don’t blame others for enjoying one of the last weekends of summer. Would love to come back for a couple weekdays when it’s less crowded. Even then, all the other campers were very friendly. Google review, 5 stars. My experience compared to other camping experiences, very good.

From Interstate 40 west, take exit 47 and turn south onto Highway 191. Stay in the right hand lane and turn south again onto the Blue Ridge Parkway at the North Carolina Arboretum; enjoy the amazing views and nine tunnels along the Blue Ridge Parkway for 15 miles (24 km). You will pass the Mt. Pisgah Parking Area, the Country Store and the Pisgah Inn on the left. The campground is on the right immediately after the Pisgah Inn.
From Waynesville, North Carolina, take Highway 276 for about 22 miles to The Blue Ridge Parkway. Turn north onto the parkway and continue four miles to the campground on the left.
Mount Pisgah Campground is accessible via Interstate 40, approximately 10 miles to the north, with access to Highway 191 leading south to the campground. Additionally, Highway 276 provides access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is the direct route to the campground.

Policies & Rules
General
- Cell phone reception is minimal in this area.There are showers in Loop B and Loop C. Electric, water, or sewer hook-ups are not available per site.
- Vehicles are to be parked on the pavement of an assigned site or in designated parking areas. A maximum of two vehicles may be parked in each site (i.e. trailer and car, two cars, two motorcycles). Most sites are limited to one vehicle.
- CAUTION: Bears frequent the area. Be aware! You are required to keep a clean campsite and store all food or scented items in your car or provided food lockers. DO NOT HANG TRASH FROM THE LANTERN POST. All food, cooking utensils, coolers, drinks, any scented items and trash must be properly stored at all times. Food and scented items must be stored in a locked vehicle, camper or site storage locker. Never leave the campsite without properly storing food and scented items. All campers are responsible for proper storage of food and scented items while in the campground. Any violators may be fined or summoned to appear in court for improper storage of food and scented items. All campers are responsible for any violations at their campsite, vehicle, camper and/or site storage locker.
- Only one tent is allowed per site unless there is adequate space on the provided tent pad. No more than 6 people per campsite. Group Campsites are located at Doughton Park Campground and Rocky Knob Campground.
- All tents must be placed on prepared pads where provided.
- Hammock camping is permitted, but campers must abide by posted regulations.
- Generator use is prohibited.
- GPS and mapping devices may not provide accurate directions to Mt. Pisgah Campground.
- Firewood Regulation: Only heat-treated firewood bundled in its original packing and bearing a certification seal from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) or a state department of agriculture may be brought onto the Parkway. Campers may still collect dead and down wood in the immediate vicinity of campgrounds and picnic areas. This rule is strictly enforced!
- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
