About Mount Pisgah Campground

One of the most popular of the Parkway's campgrounds, Mount Pisgah Campground is perched in the rolling mountains of western North Carolina on the southernmost end of the famous Blue Ridge Parkway. Surrounded by dense hardwood forests at an elevation of 4,980 ft, it offers shady, cool respite from the summer heat. Whichever end of the day appeals, spectacular sunrise and sunset panoramic views can be enjoyed from nearby overlooks. Several popular hiking trails, ranging from moderate to strenuous, are accessible from the campground. Drenched in history, this area was once part of the holdings of George Vanderbilt and the site of his hunting camp house, Buck Springs (no longer standing), is close by.

Beautiful campground and it was nice they had a dump station. I wish there was a few sites with views of the mountain but other than that it was perfect. We were extremely close to sliding rock and to several hikes and waterfalls. We will definitely be back!

Great campsite, while there are a lot of sites, even when full on July 4th week, the sites are relatively well nestled into the trees. It's not 100% private, but you might only see 2-4 other sites from yours. Location right off BRP is great.

The ranger was not helpful and the campsite was too small to accommodate even one, 2 person tent. We were advised we could only use one tent and ZERO hammocks and the ONE tent had to fit on the pad.. Neither of our tents did, let alone both of them. Since it was my 2 kids and myself AND it was pouring rain, we went elsewhere as we wasted our $$$ and time. Further the website is not honest nor accurate as the campsites are literally right on top of each other. It is, by far and away, the worst campground I have ever visited in over 50+ years of camping...

Clean campground, well laid out with many private spots along with others that are good for multiple families to camp together. Good amount of bathrooms, and they were cleaned regularly. Definitely recommend.

We went for the 4th of July weekend. The campground was nice and cool! We did not need our AC in our camper. The campground is across the street from the inn which has a wonderful restaurant with amazing views. The campground spaces were not very large. Our camper is only 10' long and we still had to park our 2nd car in another location. Other than that, the accommodations were wonderful!
