Easy in, easy out. Clean, level RV parking, and in a nice area.

My husband and I were disappointed during our last stay. The toilet paper was not stocked in the men's bathroom and the bathroom didn't appear to be cleaned in awhile.

Cedar Point is a favorite campground. The access to the water just down the road is the main reason we love to come here. The kayaking is fabulous, the sunsets from the dock are some of the best we've ever seen. The campground is a tiny piece of the national forest right in the middle of an area with many restaurants, activities, and shops.

Never been to a national park campground didn't know what to expect. It was a great experience host was helpful letting us know the process and answered question for future visits. Place was very well kept clean and quite. Simply just a great experience.

When we arrived we asked the host if we could change sites to a First come First served site. We were told no. She said you had to reserve the site for 14 days. What?????? We had never heard of this before. During our three night stay, no one came in and reserved that site. There are not any rangers at this campground, only the hosts. We ended up staying at our original site. The sites are large and reasonably maintained. Bathrooms are clean. It is a basic campground.

Small problem with my camper. No problem with the campground.

This is a regular stop on our snowbird trips. Lovely area, close to beaches with many things to see and do. We like the quiet location and generous site spaces. The showers could use updating and individual site water, would help enormously.

Nice quiet campground. Sites have plenty of space and restrooms/showers are clean. Only downside is the sites are electric-only. Made our 2-week stay slightly more challenging with having to haul fresh water to our rig every few days.
The nearby nature trail is great for families. Fort Macon State Park, about 40 minutes away, is definitely worth a visit. Grocery stores and Tractor Supply (for propane) are a short drive away. Laundromats are about 30 minutes from the campground. Anything you need is less than an hour’s drive.

Because of its proximity to the coast, Cedar Point is sometimes impacted by hurricanes and tropical storms and must be closed temporarily. These storms generally occur from July through September. It is always wise to check the weather forecast prior to your arrival, particularly during these months. |
