Spacious and clean campsites for a relaxing stay. No potable water hook-up, Water fill-up available at campground. Very convenient to restaurants, shopping, hiking, biking, and water sports. Minutes to nice rivers, beaches, and Croatan National Forest. Great fishing all around.

Beautiful campground with lots of trees for shade and well spaced sites. Poorly managed but could be a prime campground with better management.
Low voltage is potential problem for camper electricals

Sites are large. Campground well laid out. That is the "good". It is just a shame that such a nice place is so poorly managed. The bath house was filthy and there were no supplies restocked or cleaning done during our stay. Same feminine product in floor of ladies room the entire time! The grass in the campground had not been cut in a good while and it has been a VERY long time since weed eating had been done. The grass under our bolted down picnic table came up to the seat of the table. Totally unusable. There was a sign at the entrance that had been knocked down at some point and never picked up. They simply added a temporary one to replace it. There is supposed to be a 14 day limit on stays but we talked to several people whose units looked like they had been there longer. They said that all you have to do is ask the camp host to put a fake name and enter the fake name on your online registration and they will gladly facilitate this for you by continuing to change names and dates in this manner. One reason we like to stay in state and national parks is because people can't live there. The camp hosts left the park every morning with bikes loaded and did not return until evening. The fire pit was full of old ashes and assorted garbage and appeared to have been that way a while. Our neighbors in the site next to us told us that they asked the camp host about having theirs cleaned out and were told that hosts don't do that and that the camper must do it themselves if they wanted it cleaned. The camp hosts dog was always off leash as we're other dogs allowed to be. We may return at another time and hope for different camp hosts with a better work ethic. It did appear that these particular hosts were packing up to leave so maybe things will improve with new hosts.

Campsite is very nice, good amount of shade and space. Close to sound, beach, restaurants and stores. Only issue was bathhouse. Older and very hot. Also not kept clean, not sure what the host does as never saw them. Recommend you come ready to use your camper washing facilities.

I loved the sites and the fact the campground is located next to alot of activities. The campsites had good distance in between and a good amount of trees that offered nice shade. There is no water hookups or septic at the individual sites but there is a dump station near the entrance as well as a place to fill up potable water into your rv tanks.

Campground was a little confusing to find our site. Once we got there, though, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The showers were a little odd as you had to keep pushing the button to keep them going. The campground was beautiful, quiet and in a fabulous location. We kayaked on the trail, hiked and drove over to Emerald Isle for the afternoon. A great experience.

Bathrooms weren’t continuously staying stocked with toilet paper. Host was hard to get in touch with throughout the time there.

I love this campground. The campsites are spacious and shady while being close enough to provide a sense of security and community. The campsites, restrooms, and showers were all clean and well-maintained. I look forward to returning here again next summer.

Because of its proximity to the coast, Cedar Point is sometimes impacted by hurricanes and tropical storms and must be closed temporarily. These storms generally occur from July through September. It is always wise to check the weather forecast prior to your arrival, particularly during these months. |
