this is just such a nice getaway not far from the crystal coast and Jacksonville/Wilmington. It is a quiet park, nicely wooded and close to a beautiful marsh area with lots of areas to fish and kayak. There is a lovely nature walk through the marsh located very close to the RV park.

The sites were large, clean and level. Our only complaint was that at our site (#33) the smell from the trash dumpster made sitting outside unpleasant. The dumpster was very full during our stay.

Great location. Host we're good. Grounds looked great. Could use an upgrade in power. 50 Amp had some issues.

My wife and I camp here because we love the peace and solitude. We're from the area, so the beaches, quaint towns, kayaking and shopping aren't that important to us, although there's plenty of those things available.

I shifted my original camping plans to stay here one day longer than I planned. This place is my favorite campground to date.

Not enough words….I planned a 2 week camping trip from TX to NC to visit the area near my birthplace. I planned 6 days, not knowing if the campground would even be nice, let alone the unknowns over a 3 day holiday weekend. I was so happy that I was able to stay 2 days longer, and wasn’t ready to leave when it was time to start making my way back to TX. One of the camp hosts (Michele) made me feel SO welcome, and personally checked on me every day, knowing I was camping alone. The park was well cared for, and that lady was a mowing machine! She even knew how to fix the mower when it gave her trouble. She really took her host responsibilities seriously and personally. She CARED about the experience of all campers, and definitely took pride in the work she did to keep everything clean and nice. The other hosts (Bob and Denise) were kind and friendly. All 3 hosts worked their tails off to keep the grounds clean and maintained. They cared enough to enforce quiet hours, which was SO nice. Being a hammock and tent camper, it was such a relief to know that the comings/goings of other campers weren’t disruptive. The care and attention shown at this campground was awesome. I was even greeted by the ranger, Mr. Knight. My experience at this place has me really looking forward to booking again next summer, and it was so great to feel at home.

Great place to camp. Sites are paved and level, with good privacy. Bath house is clean.

Cedar Point CS is kept clean. The bath house/restroom are separated by a covered breezeway making it a pleasant waiting area at peak usage. Shade trees overlook most of the camp sites and the usual visitors come with a more relaxed peaceful approach to enjoying camping. It's a very pleasant place to get away.

We love this campground. Nice spacious sites that are level. Great safe place to ride bikes. No water at site so you have to fill your holding tank on arrival. Host was very nice, personable, and concerned about the guests.
