It was our first visit to this campground we loved it. We vacation in this area often staying at Vrbo homes. Beaufort , Swansboro and the beaches are nice.

Be aware on your drive in, as signage for Cedar Point Campground is small. We missed the sign initially and had to turn around. The campground is in the Croatan National Forest and there's a very small campground sign.
We had a double lot as it was the only one available when we booked. We had to pay for both lots even though we weren't using them. Not sure why they wouldn't split the lots out. These are electric only. Water is available and there is a dump station.
Seneca guns (loud booms and reverberations) are frequent during the day. Sounds like thunder at first, until your motorhome shakes a bit.
There's a nice little walking/nature trail near the boat launch at the end of the street. It's about 1.3 miles total and you see lots of birds, mussels, crabs, etc.
Not much to do unless you head to Emerald Isle - which can be very crowded on the weekends. We did have a great time at Taps & Tackle in Morehead City. Try the Buffalo Chicken Fries if you go. Good beer, wine, cider selection.

Easy to find, pad was very level. Electric connection was well maintained and not hiding spiders or wasp nests. Quiet and very welcoming. Close to restaurants and shopping. Good phone signal.
