This was absolutely the best camping experience we've has since we bought our small teardrop camper last year. The facilities are near perfect and very clean. The staff was super helpful and the hiking/exploring in western NC is great.

Standing Indian Campground is a beautiful and well maintained campground, including the restrooms/showers. The numerous hiking trails out of the campground make it a perfect outdoor destination.

Great get away! Close to Atlanta, The AT circumvents the surrounding ridge line and is accessible from the campground. Great water with easy access to the Nantahala and Kinsey Creek. We hiked with our dog up Kinsey Creek, made for a fabulous outing. Hot water shower and clean restrooms. Easy access into sites with trailers.

We found this year that the park is needing a lot of improvements, rotting seats on tables , assault coming up everywhere, the bathrooms in loop 1 was closed for about 2 weeks, dead trees just waiting to fall just to name a few.

Campsite nice, bathrooms spotless and people at camp store were super nice and very informative. Downtown Franklin has several nice restaurants, coffee places, a brewery and a great outdoor store plus tons of hiking in area.

Awesome campground nestled in the North Carolina foothills. Easy access to great hiking trails. We camped at the group site A and loved the sounds of the flowing stream, clean air, and stars at night.
