Love this campground, Restrooms and showers are always clean and the grounds are always well groomed!

Having to share a bathhouse with 60 kids from the group camp was not pleasant. All boys but they even used the girl bathrooms.
Not sure how to fix this problem.

The campground is fantastic. Beautiful wooded lots. Very private and quiet. Wonderful access to hiking trails from the park. Also, beautiful areas within a half an hour. Mooney and big Laurel Falls. Albert Mountain fire tower. Pickens nose are great options. I loved the running creeks throughout the campground. Bathrooms were clean and showers had plenty of hot water. Grounds and office staff were very friendly.

Serene as always. My family has camped here for years. Ms Judy at the store is awesome and welcoming. Gnats were irritating but nothing to do about that 🥰🏕️

From Franklin, North Carolina, take U.S. Highway 64 west approximately 12 miles, passing through Winding Stair Gap. Near the bottom of the mountain from the gap, turn left on West Old Murphy Road (State Route 1448) and watch for a directional sign for the campground. Go 1.9 miles and turn right on Forest Road 67 at the Standing Indian Campground sign. This is a paved road. Go 1.7 miles and turn right into the campground.
The campground is accessible via U.S. Highway 64, which is approximately 12 miles from Franklin, North Carolina, and connects to State Route 1448 (West Old Murphy Road) leading to the campground.
