What a pleasant camping experience despite the afternoon T-storms. We stayed in site 14 loop A in a 21’ Coachmen Nova. Site was perfectly level no leveling needed. Site was spotless and all equipment functional. Camp host friendly and helpful in information about trails. Camp store well stocked and provided a handmade trail map that was a bit difficult to follow but served us ok.
Restroom and bath house exceptional and very clean.
There is NO cell service period but there is satellite texting possible if you have the latest update, who knew?
The variety of site configurations is nice if you want open, pull thru or secluded. Several double sites in each loop. Highly recommend Standing Indian so much that we convinced ourselves to return two weeks later this August.

The campground was very clean and very quiet. We were very impressed with the staff for their knowledge, hard work, and keeping the grounds safe. We will definitely be back.

There was a noticeable improvement in the sites with new gravel and grading so that they appeared more level. It would be nice if there was easier access from the bridge down to the river

Both couples had a relaxing vacation. It was a little hike to the restroom for these retired people but we survived. Weather was cool, with daily rain showers. We took trip to Hiawassee GA and day trip to Helen GA. Not too far to drive. All in all it was a great stay we will be back.

Driest firewood we've ever had, which was great! Store should consider selling Kleenex - I'm sure I'm not the first to have a bit of allergies when I got there. Love this campground, especially loop 5. Wish the young girls camping would turn off the lights in the bath house, like the sign says, but that was a reflection of the youth of the campers, not the campground or the hosts. The "no dogs in the bath house" sign disappeared while we were there, just in case that wasn't intentional. After Helene, a great job getting the whole place ready to reopen for this year. I'm sure that was a job. Thanks to all the hosts!
