The camp hosts were very cooperative, and the facilities were nice and clean. We've been to Van Hook Glade 3 times, and all the visits have been good...but this one was the best, in large part to the hosts.

The campsite was very level and easily backed into. The showers and restrooms were clean and the water pressure for the shower was excellent. The campsites were clean and well maintained.

The site was very nice and the on-site staff were helpful! The lake is maybe a mile-and-a-half away and was full of trout and panfish. However, there are few useful fishing spots (maybe 5-6) around the entire lake, that being said the view was awesome and we enjoyed catching a few fat panfish! Between the campground and Highlands there is a waterfall just off the left side of highway 64 that is usually fairly crowded but nice. Dry Falls on the right is hard to get into due to the high volume of traffic and we were not able to visit. If one does need some supplies Highlands is a short windy drive away but be aware that the traffic from Dry Falls backs the road up after 8-9 am heading towards Highlands. Highlands is a quant little town and we enjoyed visiting the many stores.
The only drawbacks were that we were close to the highway and the sites are pretty close together. Other than that the bathrooms were very well maintained having no less than to cleanings a day. We loved our visit and do recommend!

The campground is very well maintained. The current campground managers are very nice and helpful. They even gave us a firestarter log when they saw we were having trouble! You should know you can occasionally hear cars pass by on the nearby road, but it is not frequent or too loud. Would stay here again!
