The park is really nice; the sites were very clean and spacious. The camp hosts, Chris and Cappy were really nice people and also kept that bathroom and shower area really clean!

Nice relaxing spot deep in the woods. Really enjoyed fishing and swimming in the river. Bring bikes to bike up river for better fishing.

Overall, it's a great spot. Wish there were showers available closer to sites 1-13 and the bathrooms for 1-13 are very old and "tired".
The campground host is super nice and responsive.

Lovely place!! Campground was peaceful, we stayed at sites 8 and 13 for tent camping and both were covered by trees! Bathrooms and showers were clean, and drinking water was easily accessible, too.

We have loved going to North Mills River Campground over the years as our children grow. The beauty of the mountains, river, birds singing and perfect temperature during the summer months make us want to come back in the years to come. Our boys love the trout fishing. When they were little, they spent all day in the river bed searching for salamanders and crawdads! Also not far from a score of waterfalls, the ranger station, graveyard fields, the Blue Ridge Parkway, train rides in Bryson City, whitewater rafting, ziplining and more! Ingles is just down the mountain for food as well as an Urgent Care! We've never had a problem with other campers, and the camp hosts are more than hospitable, kind and helpful. Take heed that it rains almost daily and sometimes all day. But dress for the occasion and waterproof your gear! We usually stop by the laundromat half-way through our trip to dry everything. But if you like adventure and don't mind getting wet, this is the place for you!

This is the most beautiful and well managed camping site we have ever stayed. We come back every year, and every year it is as good if not better than the last. While we enjoy just spending time at the campsite which has many things to do such as fishing and hiking, we are also in close proximity to many activities. We recommend Beer City tubing for a fun and relaxing tube ride down the French Broad River. Also, French Broad Adventures has many activities such as white water rafting and zip lining. We have had all positive experiences with fun, well organized activities for all skill levels. Then we can return from our activity to our beautiful, quite campsite and just relax, and unwind. I highly recommend!
