Great location very close to the beach, easy walking distance. The stars at night were stellar. You could see the milky way and there was bioluminescence in the puddles on the beach! Bathrooms were very clean with separate big showers to wash up in post ocean excursion. Only negative is the sites are small and very close together.

We have been coming here several times a year for the last several years. Very peaceful. Short walk over the dunes to the beach. Oregon Inlet Fishing center is right across the street and has many fishing and grocery items, as well as the Sea Chef restaurant. Bathrooms at the campground are always clean and stocked. Looking forward to our next trip!!

Bathroom are clean, hook ups are well cared for, rangers are super nice and you can walk to beach. Beware of winds and there is no wifi in the camp spots (only at the ranger’s building).

There were sand spurs everywhere in our campsite. Our toddler didn’t leave the tent while at the campsite because he was so worried about stepping on them. It had rained the day before and the bugs were just horrendous getting into our tent. I’ve been camping my whole life and never had bugs be that horrible in the tent. Ultimately we chose to cut it short.

We stayed for 2 nights and the first night was good aside from the rain and wind. But what can you do? The 2nd night was beautiful with neither wind nor rain but then the sun set. Holy moly were the mosquitoes crazy. Lucky for us we had a newer camper and sealed space but in the morning we found that 2 of our camping neighbors left to go to the Oregon Inlet fishing center to sleep in their cars. One couple even thought that they had parked over a nest or something. So just be aware that you need bug spray, repellent and a nice sealed off sleeping area.
Other than that, which is obviously out of anyone’s control, the campground was wonderful. Clean bathrooms, scenic and considerate and friendly neighbors.

Great campground, no shade so if you don’t have AC it could be a warm stay. Easy walk to the ocean and short drive to nearby things to see and do

The campground was okay, but the bathroom was clogged and my camping spot was covered in sandspurs.

The campground is well-maintained and the staff are friendly. The restrooms and showers are clean.
It's very convenient to walk from the campsites to the beach using the marked trail. This campground is also very close to the Bodie Island lighthouse and the NH/KDH area for restaurants or groceries. It's definitely worth driving across the bridge to get a view of the inlet and beach from up high.
We didn't go to the fishing center across the street, but it would certainly be convenient for a bite or resupplying. I also understand it's possible to launch a SUP or similar there to paddle around the sound side.
