Gorgeous campground and area. Jockey’s Ridge State Park was my favorite biome. A campground worth preserving and experiencing.

As always, a great stay! This time was quite unique as it was snowing when we pulled in, yes, snowing at the beach! Who knew? Awesome visit!

Easy to find; clean campsite and bathrooms; quiet and restful through the night; 5 minute walk to the beach to watch the sun rise...

Beautiful winter camping spot! It was just a short, pleasant walk through the dunes to the shoreline. As a solo female camper I felt very safe. It was just me and my dog in my camper van. The handful of fellow campers I encountered were friendly. The sites are pretty close together, so I don't think this would be my vibe anywhere near peak season however. The amazing sunrises and sunsets, phenomenal stargazing, and lack of crowds make it a great winter camping spot in my book though.

Sand spurs everywhere. I arrived at campground found my camp spot and took my dog for a walk. He got spurs his paws, they were on my shoes and pants present everywhere even on concrete. Found out showers were shut and dump station closed. Spaces small. Was a good location but had to leave after first night because of the sand spurs. Unable to walk to beach or around campground.

The site was level. I didn't have hookups but they do have some. You are right in the dunes and a short walk over to the water. The sunsets are beautiful too. I enjoyed my stay and will stay again if in the area.

This was my first ever December camping trip in my new Tab 360. It was a good overall experience. I was happy to find the water at my site on, as I expected the water to be off. The site was perfect. I knew the shower house and bathrooms would mostly be closed around the campground this time of year, but glad the bathroom outside of the office was still open for use. I was required to be creative. I’m looking forward to going back in 2025.
