I stayed in the non electric sights. It was a beautiful place, the dunes were amazing and the sunset beautiful. It's not really close to anything but then that's the point. I was surprised at the traffic noise but it wasn't disruptive. I enjoyed my time there and took in the sights north and south of there. I would stay here again if I'm in the area.

Great spot for RV, campervan or tent camping if visiting the outer banks. Easy access to the beach and spacious, well-kept sites. Sites with electric and water book fast, so don't delay making reservations for your stay. Bathhouse is nice. Also close to many local shopping centers.

The host went out of his way to make sure I had the things I needed. He allowed me to change my site numerous times from electric to non electric which he did all on his end. He even came over and warned me about a storm coming in.
Great Guy, great place

The ranger and staff was very helpfull. Keep in mind that in the winter most of the stores are closed. I would suggest a offroad permit and ride the beach.

This campground is very convenient to Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge. The sites are roomy. The bathrooms contain toilets, sinks and electric hand dryers. And, they are heated! As of December 9, 2024, the showers had been closed down and winterized for the season.
Verizon mobile signal is fair.
We enjoy staying at Oregon Inlet Campground.

2nd time here and I just love this campground. Easy to get to for all RVs, very peaceful and a beautiful 5+ miles of nearly empty beach to explore. A lot of fisherman come here but I just love the peace and the space for me and my 2 dogs to explore. A very unique beach spot with no boats or 4x4 required. The sites are very well spaced, not a ton of privacy because there aren’t trees but it doesn’t feel too exposed because of the spacing.
