Excellent experience except for the smell of the bathroom when the wind was blowing our way. Next time we will pick a site away from the bathroom.

We love Curtis Creek Campground. We have gone there many times. We prefer the sites that are not in the loop campground and are directly on creek. The Campground Hosts are so nice and do a great job. You have to be able to tolerate pit toilets, no electricity and no cell or internet. service.

We loved the remoteness of Curtis Creek Campground, while having the cutest town of Old Fort, NC just down the road. The campground host was kind and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our experience!

One of my new favorite places to camp. Lots to do in area, or you can just lay in the creek. Vault toilets and sites were very clean.

The pit toilets were truly the cleanest pit toilets ever. The camper sites are very close together and there was some resulting dog drama among our neighbors. But the mountain biking right down the road was great. The camp host was very kind. There is no cell service and he made sure to let us know he had a land line if we had any issues at all or needed a phone.

Nice Off Grid Camping. Gnats were bad in the vault toilets. Campground hosts do NOT do a good job of keeping up the reservation placards at individual sites. I'm certain some camping opportunities are not available due to placards not being updated.

The first evening and day were quite good. But on the second evening, an inconsiderate mob consisting of six campsites took over Curtis Creek. They allowed their children to write obscenities on the bathroom doors/trash cans and did not observe camp quiet hours at 10 pm. I've camped at the same exact Curtis Creek campsite for the same dates for five years. This was easily my family's worse experience there. We may not be back next year.

The campsites are fairly close to each other (so we definitely exchanged noise with neighbors), but the location is wonderful. The vault toilets are about what you’d expect, though the one closest to us needs peeling paint stripped. Still, everything is laid out well, and it makes great use of the natural resources of the location. I’ll look forward to visiting again.
