Flanners Beach Campground offers a peaceful and secluded environment with spacious, clean campsites and well-maintained trails, making it ideal for nature lovers. Many guests praised the friendly and helpful campground hosts, as well as the reasonable pricing. No warning on the Recreation.gov site that there would be no water and no working toilets or showers anywhere on the site. The campsite host was friendly but said she had no control over the the situation. The Croatan National Forest park office was closed and not answering phones. The campsite manager took our name and said she would try to get a refund processed. We left and stayed in a hotel.

Very quiet in off season. Some leveling required at our site.

Our first visit to Flanners Beach CG. We will be back. We spent a week here, and the campground was pretty quiet the whole time. The campsites are private. Plenty of walking trails through some beautiful coastal forest land, which is what we like. Just a few miles north of the campground is where you will find B&J Seafood, which we highly recommend.

A nice little campground with a mix of open and shaded sites. Most RV sites will accommodate big rigs to 40ft. A few walking trails and visitors center nearby. New Bern (12miles north) and Havelock (10miles south) offer grocery stores, restaurants, shopping and supplies. Sites are gravel, fairly level and fairly private. Only 30/50 electric at sites but a couple of community spigots with drinking water available. Cell coverage can be a little spotty but I've generally gotten a reliable and sufficiently strong enough signal to work remote, including video calls.

Great except for the shower which needs hotter water and lack of drinkable water at campsite.

We have stayed at Flanners Beach several times, because it is close to all our grand kids. Never had any issues booking a site. Love the area.

This was our 4th visit to Flanner's Beach Campground. It is a wonderful old campground. The camp hosts maintain it very well, are helpful and unobtrusive. The facilities are a bit dated but clean and serviceable. We'll be coming back again.
