I chose a lovely shaded campsite, one near a bathroom since I tent. Well maintained. Flush toilets, running water, hand soap, shower. Beautiful campground. Loved walking along the Davidson River. Purchased firewood at the entrance for nightly campfires. So peaceful and relaxing. I come back again and again.

We have been going to Davidson River campground for over 20 years. Although it’s very difficult to get an electric site, it is still our favorite campground and we have camped in 46 states!!
The pedestrian bridge at the end of the walking trail towards Brevard is going to be a wonderful addition when completed.
Lots of paved roads for bike riding or walking, opportunities for hiking and many waterfalls in close proximity. Cool nights and shaded sites that give you lots of privacy make camping here a great experience.

Conveniently located to hiking in Pisgah Natl Forest. Camp host was very nice and professional. Campsite was clean and private w/shade. The restroom/shower area is old but everything worked fine—no frills.

I’ve stayed here several times and the experience is always great. One of the only campgrounds that chose to keep trees and greenery between campsites. You feel like you are truly in the wilderness. One of the restroom stations wasn’t cleaned on time like we expected but it’s busy season so we didn’t complain, bring shower sandals just in case!

Awesome family retreat. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The local town has a Walmart and Dollar General for basic needs. Weather was very warm and humid. Not a breeze to be found, but the river and swimming hole was a welcome and refreshing retreat

Great sites by the river, fairly decent bathrooms, watch out for the poison oak :)
Good proximity to lots of great hiking and waterfalls.

I love Davidson! I wish they had sewer hookup sites and this is literally my only suggestion for improvement.
